Dr. James C Hannon is an associate professor and department chair of exercise and sport science at the University of Utah. He teaches and mentors students in sport pedagogy. He conducts research on physical activity and fitness measurement, academic achievement and comprehensive school physical activity. He has published over 60 manuscripts and has made nearly 100 presentations to date. He has been actively engaged in UAHPERD since arriving to Utah in 2004. He was previously V.P. of Physical Education and is currently UAHPERD President. He has taught and conducted research within schools in Illinois, New York, Florida and Utah.

Dr. Cougar Hall is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Science at Brigham Young University. Dr. Hall taught high school health and physical education in Utah public schools for 10 years. In 1998 Cougar received his BS degree in School Health with a minor in Physical Education/Coaching at BYU. Cougar earned a MS degree in Health Promotion and Education in 2003 and a PhD in Teaching and Learning in 2009 from the University of Utah. Currently Dr. Hall teaches courses in School Health Education and supervises student teachers. In his free time Cougar enjoys mountain biking and trail running.

Originally from Southern California, Crispen Anderson moved to Utah to attend Brigham Young University and chose the beautiful mountains over the beautiful Pacific Coast to raise his large family of six sons and one daughter. He graduated from BYU with his bachelors in Physical Education, Health, and Driver's Education and from University of Phoenix with his masters in Counseling. Crispen has been teaching high school and junior high Health and PE for 20 years and coaching wrestling, football, and softball for 25. Angela Thompson graduated with Honors from the University of Utah in 2008. She majored in Exercise and Sport Science (PETE) and minored in Health Education. While at the U she received the NASPE Major of the Year award and completed a research thesis which was published in 2010 and 2012.
After graduating she took a couple years off to be a mom and is the proud parent of 3 busy boys. She began teaching again in 2011. She taught elementary PE for 2 years and is now teaching at Copper Mountain Middle school in Herriman.

Her greatest reward is observing her students and peers achieve, recognize, and experience success through her teaching efforts.

His research interest includes curriculum development using various instructional models and technology and is currently preparing his dissertation, “Implementation of a Personal Fitness Curriculum Using the Personalized System of Instruction Model”. Steve is also a top level Scottish Highland games competitor and has presented and worked with physical educators in ways to incorporate the games into PE curriculum. Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, and can be spotted competing in Scottish Highland Games throughout the Salt Lake Valley and Western United States.
